Vaccination Card mandatory for Sri Pada pilgrimage

Ratnapura District Secretary Malani Lokupothagama has issued COVID health guidelines for pilgrims who are coming to visit the Sri Pada. She has also mentioned that the vaccination card is mandatory for the pilgrims who visit Sri Pada. 

 

The pilgrims should have their vaccination card or an image of the vaccination card with them.

 

Accordingly,  the pilgrimage season will commence on Unduvap Full Moon Day (December 18) and end on Vesak Full Moon Day (May 16).

 

However, the pilgrims are requested to leave the area once their rituals are done.

 

Following the guidelines issued by the Health Ministry is mandatory for the pilgrims who are attending the Sri Pada Season.
