A Veteran Banker Manoj Akmeemana, with over 35 years of experience in retail, SME and Corporate lending has authored a comprehensive guide to mastering the art of Lending in a book titled; ‘LENDING: Concept, Theory and Practice’.
The book was presented to Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, at the book launching ceremony held at Grand Monarch, Thalawathugoda on August 29.
The launch was patronised by elite representatives from the banking and finance industry, leading legal professionals, academics and the business community. Commercial Bank CEO Sanath Manathunga, in his keynote speech at the launch emphasised that the book has bridged a longstanding gap in the necessity of comprehensive lending in literature.
He also emphasised that the author has contributed his wealth of knowledge to the present generation of lenders and stakeholders in the industry. He further explained that it is written in a very simple and readable manner in a storytelling approach, which helps reader to understand technical aspects of lending in a pleasing manner. He highlighted that the author has meticulously explained practical aspects under ‘Tips for Lenders’ and includes important supplementary knowledge under the ‘Insight Capsules’.
