The Government has decided to increase the water tariff from midnight yesterday and the sources said that the relevant Gazette notification was sent to the Government Printer yesterday evening.
National Water Supply and Drainage Board sources said that the water tariff will be increased by 30 to 50 percent. However the Board insisted the low income families will not be affected .
