Wathupitiwala Base Hospital gets electrical overall in unique CSR project

To mark the 1 st anniversary of the Kelani Saviya Alumni Association, a CSR project was organized to upgrade the electrical wiring system with replacing the necessary electrical appliances in the. WD 10,13 &15 of the 110 year old Wathupitiwala base hospital was held recently under the guidance of Mahinda Saranapala, Director/ CEO& Dr.Anil Munasinghe GM Marketing Kelani Cables Plc.

Twenty five electricians contributed their skills and knowledge free of charge and completed the task successfully. Nine grade 12 students of grade 12 of Zaira College participated in the event to gain on the job training of electrical wiring and Installation under the supervision of Vice President of the Alumni Association Neil Ilukkumbura who is the sectional head of the Zaira College Maradana.

President, Kelani Saviya Alumni Association GDK Samaranayake and the executive committee members including Mohamad Zakie, Nandana Udawata, Nishantha Premakumar, H.Jayasekara were present together with Kelani Cable’s senior officials Dr.Anil Munasinghe, Channa Jayasighe, Dharshana, Gamlath and Kelani Saviya co-initiater & coordinator Jayantha Wijesinghe.
