On December 8, 2023, the Police Computer Training Center in Havelock Town hosted the comprehensive training program, which attracted a diverse group of police officers and staff from various departments, including the Police Headquarters staff, Computer Crime Investigation Division, IT Operations, and Programs, among others. Throughout the rigorous training, the participants acquired in-depth knowledge of Android security. They learned to analyze Android apps, understand the Android architecture and data structures, and identify potential mobile security threats and risks. The program also covered essential aspects of network security, addressing topics such as identity theft, credit card fraud, online banking phishing scams, viruses and backdoors, email hoaxes, online sex offenders, loss of confidential information, hacking attacks, and social engineering.
By successfully completing this training program, the police officers and staff are now equipped with the necessary skills to effectively mitigate security risks and safeguard their mobile devices from potential threats.
