Dayalatha Weerasinghe, 71, the wife of late journalist and lyricist Saman Chandranath Weerasinghe, passed away yesterday (16) after a short illness.
She leaves her two daughters, Tikiri Kumari Weerasinghe and Visharada Nadee Kumari Weerasinghe and her son, Deputy News Editor of the Sunday Observer, Chamikara Weerasinghe.
Her body will lie at her residence at No. 60, Fonseka Road, Laksapathiya, Moratuwa, from today (17) till 4.00 pm tomorrow (18).
The funeral will take place tomorrow (18) at Gorakana Cemetery, Keselwatta, Panadura, at 6.00 pm.
