Following the resignation of Former President Maithripala Sirisena from the post of Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).
The Executive Committee of the SLFP has unanimously voted to appoint Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe as the new Chairman of the party.
