Woman and drug supplier nabbed with Rs 4 Mn worth Ice and Smack

The Wattala Police Anti-Corruption Unit arrested a thirty-one-year-old female suspect who was engaged in packing drugs for sale.

She has rented a house in the Kerawalapitiya area in the Wattala Police Division, and a thirty-year-old male suspect who supplied her with drugs worth nearly rupees four million Rs. 4,000,000 along with Ice and heroin.

According to Police, 100 grams and 350 milligrams of the drug ice worth more than rupees two million was seized from the possession of this female suspect during the initial raid.

According to the information revealed during further questioning after this raid which took place on October 12, around about 6:30 p.m., a suspect who supplied drugs to the female suspect was also arrested on the same day.

These two suspects, permanent residents of Stayspura in the Grandpass Police area, were produced before the Wattala Magistrate’s Court yesterday 13 and both remanded in custody until October 24.

As per the instructions of OIC of Wattala Police Station, Chief Inspector Anura Gunawardena, OIC of Anti curruption Division , Police Inspector Amila Herath, Police Sergeant Mihindukula (62800), Police Constables Anandan (93988), Ratnayake (98156) and Female Police Constable Kaushalaya (13264) of the Anti-Corruption division Investigations are being conducted.
