Two victims had lodged separate complaints with Nawagamuwa Police. She was arrested in Korathota, Police said. The suspect had obtained Rs. 361,000 and Rs. 485, 000 from the complainants to provide them with visas to Japan.
The 49-year-old suspect is a resident of Dehiowita, Avissawella. She had committed such crimes before, Police said. She had 32 court cases and 17 warrants against her, Nawagamuwa Police said.
Investigations are continuing.
