A person was killed at Pillayar Junction in Gemunupura, Sripura early this morning (16) in a shootout.
The shooting has been carried out by an unidentified gunman who had arrived on a motorcycle and using a T56 assault rifle.
The victim has been identified as a 26-year-old youth, is a resident of Kawanthissapura, Sripura.
The motive behind the shooting has not yet been uncovered while Sri Pura Police is conducting further investigations into the incident
