A 17-year-old boy from Madampitiya Road has been stabbed on Monday (3) near the Grandpass Randiya Uyana apartment complex during an argument and had died upon admission to hospital. The deceased has been identified as Abdul Latheef of Wellampitiya.
The victim was on his way to the Randiya Uyana apartment complex with two other friends when the argument had erupted with another known group who had been following them.
It is alleged that Abdul Latif was stabbed in the abdomen during the argument.
The suspects have fled the area and the body of the victim is lying at the Colombo National Hospital.
Grandpass Police is conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
