During the special operation ‘Yukthiya’ conducted by the Sri Lanka Police and its Special Task Force (STF) in 24 hours, the following quantities of narcotics were seized.
The narcotics that were seized had 453g of heroin
306g of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’), 57kg 317g of cannabis, 31,168 cannabis plants, 147g of ‘Mawa’, 14g of ‘Thul’ and 234 narcotic pills
A total of 999 suspects have been arrested during the operation, of which 31 suspects are being further investigated based on detention orders
