Sponsored, ‘CBL-Munchee’ Trophy – MCA ‘D’ division 40 over League Tournament, continued last weekend on November 18 and 19.
Maduranga Zoysa scored an aggressive 105 runs off 106 balls, inclusive of six sixes and nine fours, steered Hayleys Group ‘B’ to a comprehensive seven wickets win over Melwire Rolling. Goshitha Sajitha’s sparkling 104 runs in 92 balls, inclusive of a six and 16 fours helped Stafford Motors to go over the 300 runs mark in 40 overs and defeat new comers, Recovery Room by a massive margin of 202 runs.
Weekend’s bowling honours went to Sanjeeva Vishan from Stafford Motors, who bagged 5 wickets for 17 runs in 5.4 overs, inclusive of a maiden that shot out Recovery Room for 103 runs in 28.4 overs.
