Businessman remanded for killing wife

Kalani Yasantha Mapalagama of Boralesgamuwa (45), a mother of two, had been strangled to death on September 15 at her residence. Boralesgamuwa Police received a complaint on September 16 in this regard.

Thereafter, Police found a partly burnt bed sheet and a pillow from the house. Later her husband confessed to the police that he killed his wife to get her assets.

Boralesgamuwa Police are investigating.
