CFSL Rapid Chess Tourney from Saturday

The inaugural Online National Rapid Chess Championship conducted by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka (CFSL) will commence on Saturday at the ches.com platform.

This event consists of four stages and the tournament will start with novice events in six regions followed by the major division events in the same regions.

The top player will join the major division event in the national ‘B’ tournament. The top 14 players of the national ‘B’ event will join the current national champion and the top rank player in the first stage of the finals.

The event will be conducted according to the Swiss system. The CFSL has offered a total cash award of Rs. 180,000 for the winners. (D.R)
