CORRECTION…

On March 17, 2023, the Daily News published an article titled “Lanka opts for ‘Most Favored Creditor’ clause in debt restructuring process.” In the article, The Daily News mis-attributed two quotes to U.S. Ambassador Julie Chung that were not from her. The first erroneous quote regarded international creditors and the second regarded U.S. – Sri Lanka relations. Later in the article, the Daily News accurately quoted Ambassador Chung regarding the two countries’ 75 years of bilateral relations, about which the Ambassador highlighted the U.S. focus on “People, Progress, and Partnership.”
