Cyber sex abuse: Phone company worker arrested

The Matara Divisional Crime Investigation Unit has arrested an employee of a leading mobile phone company for alleged online sexual exploitation of several school girls.

The suspect had allegedly sexually exploited students online claiming to provide packages for Zoom technology.

Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that a School principal had lodged a complaint that a group of students at the school in Pitabeddara were facing cyber sexual exploitation.

The suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged by the principal with the Matara Divisional Crime Investigation Unit.
