Entries called for Arugam Bay half marathon

Half Marathon competition organized by the Arugam Bay Development Forum (ADF) under the theme ‘Come to Sri Lanka’ will draw a large number of tourist attractions along with competitors from various parts of the countries.

The Arugam Bay in the Pottuvil DS Division in the Ampara District is a health resort famous for surfing attracting the Tourists from all over the world. The tourism in the country is reviving rapidly.

This year’s Half Marathon is scheduled for July 23. More than 250 competitors including foreigners will take part. Application closes on July 20.

The competition which is to be conducted with the sponsorship of Sri Lanka Tourism and with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Army’s 242 Brigade Division and Government and non-governmental organizations.
