Hilton Rajawarna Resort presents : ‘Weerawila Wasantha Udawa’

Hilton Sri Lanka’s resort property in the South is reveling in the spirit of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, a spirited and blissful celebration that permeates the atmosphere with the soul-stirring melodies of customary music and the mouth-watering fragrance of appetizing sweetmeats, where the communities come alive with colorful decorations and people get dressed in their finest vivid-colored clothes.

‘Weerawila Wasantha Udawa’, having started on April 9, with the mixing of Awurudu Bibikkan at the Woolf’s Deck, continues until 16 April.

The line-up of the festivities will include; Live performance of oriental music, traditional Avurudu games, cooking demonstration, exhibition of locally crafted goods, Kadamandiya (village shop) and a kiddies Avurudu festival.

The hotel is also making arrangements to offer a unique assortment of decadent Awurudu-inspired cakes such as the Suryasari Chocolate Cake, Bakmahasiri Vanilla Cake and Aurudu Siri Ribbon Cake, in order to enhance and elevate home Awurudu festivities.

These cakes will also be available for take-away with a one-day advance notice until 20 April.
