KDU bill will not be tabled in Parliament this week

Minister Rajapaksa made this observation in parliament responding to a question raised by UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, who asked whether the Bill would be taken up for debate on coming Friday.

In reply Rajapaksa pointed out that the Bill would not be debated as it is believed that the MPs and public needed more time to analyze the Bill and express their comments and opinions on it.

Rajapaksa stated that the Bill would be debated during a future session in Parliament.
