Kudu Anju begins drug trade from France Police custody

Intelligence agencies in Sri Lanka have received information that Sinhara Amal Shamin de Silva aka

Gonakovile Kudu Anju, who has been arrested by the French Police has started conducting the drug trade over the telephone.

He is believed to have conducted the racket by misusing the privilege of calling the family to co-ordinate his henchmen in this country. Kudu Anju was arrested by the French Police in the last week of April for assaulting his wife. After being interrogated by Police there, he was produced before the court and remanded in custody according to the red notice issued against him by the International Police.

Reportedly, France has offered Kudu Anju, political asylum.

He possesses a foreign passport and even owns businesses there.Meanwhile, a good response was also received from France after the initial correspondence to bring him to Sri Lanka.

The information received from France stated that he would not be handed over until the investigations against him in France are completed.
