Namal to open development projects in Trincomalee

Minister of Development Coordination and Supervision and Youth Affairs and Sports Namal Rajapaksa is scheduled to visit Trincomalee tomorrow to open a number of development projects in the district.

The visit comes at the invitation of Trincomalee District MP and Co-Chairman of the District Coordinating Committee Kapila Nuwan Athukorala.

The Minister will attend the opening ceremony of the Trincomalee Morawewa Sports Ground, the 32 km Thiriyaye Main Road opening, the opening ceremony of Komarangadawela Weekly Market Exhibition, discuss issues relating to the Velcom Project, the foundation laying ceremony for the Elephant Fence around the village of Komarangadawela and the Komarangadaveda Flower Garden estimated to cost over Rs. 3.3 million, meet new investors at the Pulmottai Ilmanite Corporation, Kuchchaveli Navachcholai Handball Ground opening ceremony, discuss housing issues in the Kuchchaveli area, visit the Kuchchaveli Youth Service Central Station, the Naval Camp, the Trincomalee General Hospital, open playgrounds at Thambalagamuwa and Kantalai, issue land certificates and housing deeds to people in the Kantalai Pradeshiya Sabha, visit the Kantalai Sugar Factory and also issue land ownership deeds to people at Verugal.
