Pilgrim bus hits tusker
A bus carrying a group of pilgrims hit a tusker in the Oyamaduwa Maningamuwa area of Anuradhapura on Saturday.
The tusker which was injured in the incident fled into the forest. The bus had extensive damage. Several passengers had sustained minor injuries.
Residents of the area say that this tusker has killed several people and has also damaged property.
They say complaints regarding this to authorities have fallen on deaf ears.
They also point out that this tusker attacked several vehicles earlier as well.
