PNB Sergeant arrested over sexual assault in Rasnayakapura

Rasnayakapura Police officers arrested a Police Sergeant working in the Police  Narcotics Bureau who allegedly sexually assaulted a 20-year-old girl who was sleeping in a room of the house, yesterday (13).

Police said that she is a relative of this police Sergeant and is an unmarried girl. She is said to have been molested by this officer on May 28. She has complained about it to the police yesterday (13). She has said that this officer had sneaked into her room where she was sleeping that morning and molested her.

A top-ranked police officer of the Rasnayakapura Police said that this suspect police officer will be produced before the Nikaweratiya Magistrate’s Court.
