Prof. Sanath Nandasiri’s funeral today

The funeral of veteran musician and chancellor of University of Visual and Performing Arts Emeritus Prof.Sanath Nandasiri will take place today at 5 p.m. at General Cemetery, Borella.

The remains will be taken to the University of Visual and Performing Arts from his house at Embuldeniya at 9. a.m. today.Students and the members of academic staff will pay their last respect to Sangeeth Nipun Sanath Nandasiri who left an indelible mark in the country’s music field.

Later the remains will be kept at the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation where he honed his creative music skills. Remains will lie in state for few hours at SLBC for the artistes and his contemporaries the public to pay their last respects before being taken to the General Cemetery for cremation.
