SJB will stand for farmers – Sajith

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated that damage was caused to the farming community due to the arbitrary actions of the government and that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will take steps to go to the Courts to seek justice for the farming community.

Accordingly, a fundamental rights petition will be filed on behalf of the farming community soon, he said.

He said this after meeting farmers in Lunugamvehera, Agbopura area.

On this occasion, the Opposition had a wide-ranging discussion with the farmers in the area on the problems they face.
