Two Sri Lankans selected in BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year list
Buddhilini de Soyza and 10-year-old Gagana Mendis Wickramasinghe are the two Sri Lankans who have been included in the prestigious list.
The overall winners in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition will be announced on October 12, 2021.
Buddhilini de Soyza’s photo, ‘The Great Swim’, shows cheetahs crossing the Talek River in Kenya’s Maasai Mara.
Gagana’s picture titled “Lockdown chicks” depicts three rose-ringed parakeet chicks and their father.
According to the 10‑year-old photographer, the picture was taken from a balcony at his home in Colombo.
