The United National Party (UNP) plans to conduct 75 online seminars in parallel with its 75th anniversary which fell on September 5. Accordingly, this seminar series will begin on September 17 when the birth anniversary of Sri Lanka’s first Executive President late J.R. Jayewardene is commemorated. The United National Party plans to establish a national policy centre based on the responses received from the seminar participants and also to recruit new members to the party through these seminars. All these initiatives are conducted by the party on the guidance and advice of party leader, former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
