Woman flees drunken husband

The Police investigated a complaint made by a resident of Rahathungoda Estate in Haguranketha that his wife and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter were missing and discovered that the woman had left the house with the child after an argument with her husband.

The man told the Police that he made a complaint that his wife and child were missing and gave the information to the journalists in the hope that they would be able to bring them back.

Police investigations have revealed that the complainant drinks heavily and due to this there are frequent conflicts between him and his wife. The Police suspect that the 21-year-old woman and her daughter are at their relative’s house. Haguranketha Police are conducting investigations to find her and the child.
