Youth arrested for copper pipe theft

Police arrested a 23-year-old man for stealing copper pipes from an AC machine at the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Headquarters in Maradana, yesterday.

The suspect is a resident of Imamul Aroos Avenue, Colombo. He was produced before the Colombo Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Meanwhile, Dematagoda Police arrested a 62-year-old man for stealing copper wires worth Rs.300,000 from train compartments. The suspect is a resident of the same area.
