All eight teams have confirmed their head coaches, who will oversee their respective clubs when the 2022/23 SLR Nippon Paint Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament gets underway on Friday.
The defending champions Kandy SC will start their campaign on Sunday with a match against Army SC on their home grounds at the Nittawela Stadium, under the guidance of former Kingswood, Kandy SC and Sri Lanka fly half Fazil Marija.
Meanwhile, Nilfer Ibrahim, who was in charge of the Sri Lanka Sevens Rugby Team during the recent Asia Rugby Sevens Series, will take over as Head Coach of the Police SC Rugby Team for this season.
Saliya Kumara, who was the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka Women’s Sevens Team at the Asia Rugby Sevens Series, will take over the Navy SC Rugby Team for the new season.
Veteran Sanath Martis will coach Havelock SC, Dushanth Lewke will coach the CR and FC, Shamly Nawaz will coach Air Force SC, Asanga Rodrigo will coach the CH and FC and Ronnie Ibrahim will coach Army SC.
