A foreign woman was killed and two others injured after their car travelling from Gampola towards Hemmathagama overturned in the Balathgamuwa area on Sunday.

Of the occupants, Prakash Sharita Devi (67), an Indian-origin resident of Sydney, Australia, died, while her daughter Shami Shivangi Prakash (30) and the driver of the vehicle, Mohammad Unif Tiros, a resident of Palliyawatta, Ederamulla, Wattala, were admitted to the Gampola Hospital with injuries.
