Three more PCs interdicted after SSPs cannabis haul

Three police officers who worked at the official residence of the SSP and an officer of the Monaragala Police Intelligence Division who supported it   have been interdicted with immediate effect. This is in connection with the discovery of 22 kilos of cannabis at the residence of Sisila Kumara, who served as the acting Senior Superintendent of Police of Monaragala Police Division, during a raid on January 6, the CID officers seized the cannabis stock from the kitchen from the SSPs the official residence.

The SSP is currently under remand in connection with the incident.
