SLPP to remove Prof. G. L. Peiris as Chairman

The Executive Committee of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has decided to remove Prof. G.L.Peiris from Party Chairmanship. 

The SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam said the decision was taken unanimously by the SLPP Executive Council at a meeting held recently.

Kariyawasam said that Prof. G.L.Peiris was invited to attend the meeting but he did not attend. He said the SLPP will appoint a suitable person for the post shortly.
