‘Sandal thief’ nabbed

Madampe Police on Saturday arrested a suspect for allegedly breaking into a footwear factory in the old Madampe city and stealing 335 ladies sandals worth about Rs 1 million, on March 14.

The suspect (49) is a resident of old Madampe city.

He had entered the factory through a window. Following a complaint from the factory owner, the suspect was arrested within 24 hours.
