ID card One Day service to resume

The Registration of Persons Department announced that it decided to recommence the One Day National Identity Cards (NICs) issuing Service only for those applicants who make prior appointments from October 25.

The one day service for Issuing NICs had been temporarily suspended due to the COVID 19 pandemic situation in the country.

The Department informed that in order to prevent large gatherings and crowds within the premises of the department’s Head Office at Battaramulla and the Southern Provincial Office, one day services will be carried out for a limited number of applicants from October 25. It will be only through prior appointments
