Rain ruins first day of Royal-Thomian

The first day of the 142nd Battle of the Blues Inter-School Big Match between traditional Royal College and S. Thomas’ College was called off due to inclement weather at the SSC Grounds in Maitland Place yesterday.
No play was possible on day one, with the match officials unable to even conduct the toss as Colombo experienced heavy rainfall throughout the day.
Play on day two is set to begin at 9.40 a.m. today while the toss is scheduled to take place at 9.10 a.m. with play being extended for an extra hour.
