Eastern Province Co-operative Department opens in Sainthamaruthu

A national wise Co-op fresh grocery and tea centre opened in the Sainthamaruthu Multi Purpose Co-operative Society (MPCS) premises recently.

Eastern Province Commissioner of Co-operative Development A.L.M. Azmi opened the centre and inaugurated the sale.

At the ceremony presided over by Sainthamaruthu Multi Purpose Co-operative Society (MPCS) Board of Management President M.M. Udumalebbe. Chief Guest at the occasion Eastern Province Commissioner of Co-operative Development A.L.M. Azmi said, “the government took this initiative to develop the co-operative movement.”

The Kalmunai Assistant Commissioner of Co-operative Development Kaladevi Udayarajah was the Guest of Honour at the ceremony.

Kalmunai Municipal Councilor A.R.M. Azeem, Office of the Kalmunai Assistant Commissioner of Co-operative Development Officials, Sainthamaruthu Multi Purpose Co-operative Society (MPCS) Board of Management officials, business community, traders and business officials of the area were all present.
