Associate of ‘Dematagoda Chaminda’ arrested

A group of Police Special Task Force officers on April 20 arrested one of the main associates of Sirinayake Pathiranage Chaminda Ravi Jayanath alias Dematagoda Chaminda, who is a powerful drug trafficker, along with 400 packets of heroin containing 25 grams.

The arrested suspect is a 58-year-old resident of Dematagoda area. He was handed over to the Dematagoda Police Station for further investigation. Police said that had been operating under a son of Dematagoda Chaminda, who is also a drug trafficker.
