NPP, TNA boycott Sajith’s Opposition Parties meeting

The National People’s Power Party (NPP) and the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) yesterday boycotted a meeting of Opposition Parties convened by the Opposition leader Sajith Premadasa to discuss the new Anti-Terrorism Bill.

The meeting was attended by several Opposition party leaders including Dullus Alahapperuma, Prof.G.L.Peiris, Mano Ganeshan and Udaya Gammanpila. However, not a single NPP or TNA Parliamentarian was present. Premadasa speaking to the media afterwards said the Opposition parties had a fruitful meeting on how to act collectively against the proposed bill.
