Three arrested with 10Kgs of Kerala Cannabis

Punewa Police say that a soldier, a Navy personnel and a civilian were arrested while transporting 10 kilogrammes of Kerala Cannabis in a bus.

The 38-year-old soldier and a 37-year-old civilian suspect has been arrested. The two Security Forces personnel were on leave at the time of their arrest,” Police said.

The cannabis was detected while searching the buses that were going from Jaffna to Colombo in the Punewa area yesterday.

The Kerala Cannabis was found in the bags of the suspects. They are to be produced in Courts.
