Deiyandara Sumiya arrested with revolver

A special police team of the Police Special Task Force arrested a suspect named Deiyandara Sumiya along with a Arminus 38 type revolver made in Germany.

The suspect who served in the Special Forces of the Army and was legally discharged in 2018 has been a trishaw driver.

According to the information the officers of the Moratuwa Special Operations Division of the Police Special Task Force received, the suspect was arrested along with the firearm in Deiyandara. The Special Task Force said that so far no information has been revealed about any crimes the suspect committed using the firearm. The suspect along with the firearm has been handed over to Deiyandara Police.
