Police looking for gang for robbing lawyer

Egoda Uyana Police launched an investigation in to a gang who robbed a lawyer in Moratuwa, Koralawella, while he was in his car by a roadside making a telephone call.

The robbers had threatened the lawyer with a knife and robbed him of money and a wristwatch worth Rs. 150,000. At that time, the lawyer had only Rs. 3,000.

The robbers had taken his automated teller machine and withdrawn Rs. 50,000.

The lawyer, a 33-year-old resident of Egoda Uyana, Moratuwa, had told Police that three unidentified men had robbed him.
