Eight Kataragama devotees injured in vehicle mishap

A 10-year-old girl was injured along with 07 women who were travelling in a cab transporting devotees from the lower courtyard to the upper courtyard of the Wedahitikanda in Kataragama yesterday afternoon (03). Kataragama Police say that while the cab was coming down from the upper courtyard carrying the devotees, the driver was unable to control it and thus met with an accident. Apart from the driver, eight devotees including the girl were travelling in the cab at that time. Except the driver, all of them were injured and hospitalized. Police said they were not seriously injured.
