BRICS mulls new currency at Jo’burg confab

Preparations are underway to introduce a new currency unit at the BRICS conference to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa in August.

The new currency was formed based on the determination of value based on gold. This currency will be different from the US dollar widely used for international transactions.
