LCB Finance opens in Walasmulla

Extending their footprint in the country, Lanka Credit and Business Finance PLC (LCB) opened their 17th branch at Beliatta Road, Walasmulla last week amidst a gathering of traders, entrepreneurs, farmers, and representatives of the co-operative movement.

LCB will be offering their savings and deposit products: “Podiththa” for kids, “Shina Ayojana” for the youth, “Regina” for ladies, “Prathi-Labha” for all age groups, and “Suwa Divi” for senior citizens. These products are backed by housing, business, agriculture, gold loans, and lease finance facilities from this new branch.

CEO / Executive Director K G Leelananda, addressing the gathering, stated that Walasmulla Branch is another branch in their regional business expansion plan. It is designed to develop rural economic activities and establish mutually beneficial relationships with farmers, SMEs, self-employed youth, traders, and the co-operative sector in the catchment areas of the branch.

Tracing the history of the company, Leelananda stated that a large portion of the investors in the company and the members of their Board of Directors are from the Southern Province. Furthermore, 10 out of the 17 branches of LCB, including this new branch, are situated in the Southern Province. He added, “We are looking at opening more branches soon.”

He observed that LCB Finance at present is an entity well-rooted in the Southern Province and began its business operations from the South.
