News spread on Saturday (5) in Rakwana town, that a three-wheeler driver had transported a man who had died three months earlier.
At around seven o’clock in the evening on this day, a man, with a newspaper in his hand, had got into a three-wheeler at the town’s parking lot and directed the driver to take him home. While on the way, the passenger had told the driver he wished to go home soon. When they arrived at the designated place and the driver turned around to collect his fare, the passenger was nowhere to be seen. After looking for the passenger in the house, the driver returned to his three-wheeler empty-handed and confused.
The driver returned to his three-wheeler park and told a friend what had transpired. The friend then revealed that the said passenger had died about three months earlier, and his relatives had performed his last rites within twenty-four hours.
He was single and died after a sudden illness while living alone. He had retired from public service about ten years ago.
The three-wheeler driver is, reportedly, disoriented since then.
