Substandard fertiliser imports: AG’s recommendations ignored – Sajith

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa told Parliament yesterday that none of the recommendations made by the Auditor General regarding the importation of substandard fertiliser have been implemented so far.

The Auditor General has recommended that the officials responsible for importing fertiliser from China be prosecuted based on the final report issued after the investigation conducted in this regard.

The report has also been submitted to Parliament as well. Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa and Chief Government Whip Prasanna Ranatunga also said that they will pay attention to the request made by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
