Hashish sent as dog food seized by SL Customs

A shipment containing a parcel of hashish worth more than Rs. 10 million packed and sent as dog food from Canada, was seized by Sri Lanka Customs at the Central Mail Exchange (CME) yesterday (16).

The parcel containing the drug hashish was sent to a false address in the Maharagama area.

Officials at the Customs Postal Valuation Division were able to determine that the parcel sent as dog food contained 670g of hashish packed inside.
