Businessman missing, van found in Kolonna

Kolonna Police said that a businessman, a resident of Kolonna Nedola area has been missing since the night of Wednesday (16).

The missing person Sarath Kumara, is a forty-nine-year-old businessman who resides near Nedola School and is the father of four boys.

Police said that the wife of the missing businessman works as a teacher in a school in the Kolonna area. Police said that this businessman was engaged in collecting tea leaves and selling them.

He had gone to the Deniyaya town that morning in his van to get some money and since he did not return home, the businessman’s wife lodged a complaint with the Kolonna Police at around seven in the night.

Police have found the van in which the businessman went to bring the money near the Anilakanda public cemetery. Kolonna Police is conducting investigations to find the missing businessman.
